Rhinoplasty Nose Surgery – Your Way to a Perfect Nose
The nose is one of the most forward presenting features of the face and everybody needs it to look flawless. However, many times it isn’t the perfect shape that we desire. Nature has not given that perfect slant and proportions to everyone. Thankfully, there are surgeries that can help you through this ordeal and grant you the ideal nose that you so wish for. The procedure is called rhinoplasty or a nose job and has made the perfect nose possible for millions of people worldwide.
What is Rhinoplasty?
The actual surgery involves manipulating the tissues around the nose to create the shape that you desire. The surgery is able to correct any bumps, lift your nose or correct a deviated septum. It is also able to correct the shape of the nose if it has been damaged by trauma. The procedure involves lifting the nasal skin and soft tissues and separating them from the bony-cartilaginous framework beneath and then correcting any defect. They may grind down the bone to correct a hump or incorporate cartilage grafts to lift the nose. Once the desired shape is achieved, the incisions are again joined together using surgical adhesives and the nose is immobilized with a stent to allow for undisturbed healing.
Types of rhinoplasty
There are two basic types of this nose plastic surgery. In Korea, both options are available and are chosen based on individual patient criteria. The two procedures are:
This approach allows a wider field of view for the surgeon, with an incision at the columella or the tip of the nose. The other incisions are also placed externally.
Allows for the procedure to take place endo-nasal. This means that there will be minimal scarring visible externally and there will be less swelling and faster healing than the open rhinoplasty.
Of course, each procedure has its own set of advantages and disadvantages, which is why they are discussed thoroughly with the doctor before any one procedure we decided. There can be complications, however, in the hands of the best rhinoplasty surgeon, you can exclude these risks and focus more on the result. Yes, it will take some time for your nose to gain its proper shape after the surgery, but once it does you will yourself realize that the procedure was totally worth it.
